Perhaps it has to do with the "bid-agent"? If you are running a test auction and place a test bid (using the bid-agent) that is less than the buy-it-now price, unless you/someone else places another bid, your fist bid is stuck at the amount you bid and therefore the "bid-agent" will never get the opportunity to increase the bid to the "buy-it-now" level.
....hope I explained it OK...........
I know we have run many auctions with many "buy-it-now" items and the function always worked fine.
