Ok, I am totally blonde when it comes to the idea of this stuff. Once I have the thing up and running I am fine, but getting there is where I have the problems.

Could some one tell me, step by step, how to set this up? Most of what I have read here and in the downloaded stuff, well it is confusing as all get out since I have no php or html or what not experiance. So if some one could please help me out I would really appreciate it.

You don't need more. Follow them step-by-step and the program will work as expected.

Obviously I do need more isntruction, hence my post. To me the instructions are not clear enough.

- edit eConfig161.pl and save it

What am I editing it with? What am I putting in and/or taking out? I don't understand this at all

- save THIS file as eAuction.pl

Won't this take the place of the eAuction.pl file that is in the folder you gave? If so, then why was it in there in the first place?
