You already have it.
It is the file, or the part of the file where you made the changes that you posted.

Simply upload the file using the default settings just as they are. In your case either you have to erase your chages and get them back to their original settings or unzip the download file again and start from there.

The following is from my copy of eAution161, downloaded in May, 2004.
They are the default settings.
You will find it in eConfig161.pl

$config{'cgi_dir'} = 'cgi-bin'; # Default for most servers

# The cgi-bin subdirectory where your eAuction.pl will be stored

# The Path to a 'NON-WEBACCESSABLE' directory of your system
# Maybe you have to chmode it if you use your own setting

$config{'get_path'} = 1; # Set this from 1 to 0 if you want to use your own setting
$config{'basepath'} = '/Your/Basepath';

# You need to assign either a mail program or
# a mail host so e-mails can be sent out.
# Configure your MAIL PROGRAM

$config{'get_mail'} = 1; # Set this from 1 to 0 if you want to use your own setting
$config{'mailprog'} = '/Your/Path/To/sendmail'; # no additional options please

# or Configure your MAIL HOST (SMTP)
#$config{'mailhost'} = 'http://YourSMTP-Host';

# Set this from 0 to 1 if the script is running with a real Web-Server
$config{'web_server'} = 1;

One suggestion, after resetting the configuration options, if the script does not run the first time, if you get an error, change
# The name of your servers cgi-bin directory
$config{'cgi_dir'} = 'cgi-bin'; # Default for most servers

.........TO.......

# The name of your servers cgi-bin directory
$config{'cgi-bin'} = 'cgi-bin'; # Default for most servers

.....and give it a try.......................

playa4002 eAuction Novice Offline I Love Perl Posts: 4	Re: total noob question, appreciate reply asap Reply #4 - 04/26/06 at 01:10:35 I try it the first way, default, i try to run econfig and then eauction, auction comes with this error: Error Permission denied YOUR SET UP IS NOT CORRECT Click eAuction Script-Forums if you need support and econfig is interneal error... nothing ever works right for me.

Next step is to use the Search function in this forum.

Search for: YOUR SET UP IS NOT CORRECT
By User: Search-all-members only
Choose the board(s) to search in: Check All
Fields to Search: Check both Subject and Message
This post was made in the last.. select (all posts)
Display how many results? 100
Display only one result per thread?: leave UNCHECKED

and go through the ddiscussions and answers that are about the same problem you have.

good luck, your answer should be one of the many you will fnd there.
