I have 1.5.3 installed and working fine...

I tried to install 1.6.1 and I get,,
Error

Permission denied

YOUR SET UP IS NOT CORRECT

I have everything set up right on a UNIX server,,Pearl 6.2.
Everything CHMOD like they should be,,I even talked to my server guy..
Just cant get 1.6.1 to work...

I read just about every thread here,,tried all what was posted.

Whats the differece in them ??
Why one would work and the other one wont ??

eAuction v1.6.x tries to store the user/item data into a secure directory of your server.
If your server denies access to the non web-accessable area - you will get the error message you mentioned.
Matt Hahnfeld's EveryAuction v1.5.x just gives you 'the hint' to store the data into a secure directory of your server.
