Help me Please

I have Dnlded the script
changed the econfig to this

$config{'cgi_dir'}            = 'cgi-bin';

$config{'auction_dir'}      = 'eAuction161';
$config{'get_path'}              = 0;
$config{'basepath'}         = 'Multimedia file viewing and clickable links are available for registered members only!!  You need to Login or Register!!
';
$config{'closedir'}            = 'closed';
$config{'regdir'}            = 'userreg';
I created a cgi-bin dir even though my server does not require one
and I created the 'closedir' and the 'regdir' outside of the cgi bin
Can someone please tell me what i need to change to make this work?
also I am not sure what the permissions should be for the files and directories.

any help would be great

   $config{'cgi_dir'}          = ''; # Default for most servers
   $config{'auction_dir'}      = '';
 $config{'get_path'}          =0 ; # Set this from 1 to 0 if you want to use your own setting
  $config{'basepath'}          = '/home/auction/auctiondata';

Try soemthing like that on for size.

i also store my eAuction.pl in /home/auction/public_html...
this makes more sense when you consider the configuration
