Translation, Ad-ons and New versions

Dear Moderator,

I'm looking for an auction script and I'm very happy because I discovered eAuction! Nice job guy!

In order to put this wonderful script to work in my server and native language, I will translate eAuction for brazilian portuguese, and I will to donate the translation to the project, of course.

For now, I just see the DEMO site, and I'm very satisfied. But I want to understand some things, about e-Auction:

  1. Where is the Database scripts? I had download the zip file, but I can't find any sql script.

  2. Should I expect to translate the eAuction only in the next version? I don't want miss the promissed features in the new version, but I don't want to re-work in translation tasks again (its a boring and hard work).

 3. Looking at the forum posts, there a lot of code snips, ad-ons and solutions for various questions. What your plans about this? Are they included in the next version (all, part or nothing)?  Because I'm not a Perl expert, this answer can mean a lot of work for me, to find, adapt and test. And more: In the next version, this codes may don't work anynore... How to know? Smiley

 4. Ok, I know that open-source software don't have compromisse with delivery in the calendar. But I read that you are expecting publish a new version (1.6.2) in a few days... So, what you suggest? Wait for work hard in the new version, or put the current version to work?

Thanks in advance,

Paulo Vaz

That's because the script is using a flat file database.

The next version will contain the same text.

Don't wait for the next version - use what already has been released ...   Wink
