Some issues - help needed
11/08/04 at 05:41:07

Hi,
I would appreciate if I can get some help on the following.

The images that I upload for an item from the hard drive are not showing up on the listing page.

When I look at the broken image links by right clicking on the browser to see if the path is correct, I notice that it attaches _0 and _1 and _2 to the file name of each image. For example, if I upload 3 images (someimagefilename) from my hard drive, it adds someimagefilename_0.gif for first image and someimagefilename_1.gif for second and imagefilename_2.gif for the third image.  Hence the _0 and _1 and _2 are being added.

When I look at the uploaded images on the server in the img_upload directory itself, the image file names are not changed. They are the original names WITHOUT the extra underscore and a number added.

The image of an item for which I use the URL option shows just fine.

Another issue is that if there is wrong data entered while posting new item and you get the message to change let's say buy it now price, or bid increment price, then after hitting back button on the browser the paths from the hard drive for the images to be uploaded are all gone and you have to insert the paths of the images in the post new item form again.  Password also disappears and you have to enter the password again.

Is there a way it can keep you logged in and you don't have to enter password every time you move between pages?

Thanks in advance,
Alex
