The end of the soap opera Grin

Tested all the features again ... signed up for a new registration, no prob ... could post an auction, could view that auction, but I couldn't view the auction category ... ??? ... bid on my auction, no prob ... ??? ... I decided to check every category and found -> some worked, some got "Modification of non-creatable array value attempted, subscript -1 at eAuction.pl line 751. " ... line 751 = " @lastbid = @{read_bid($bids[-1])}; " ... ???! ... there's that bid thing again ... ???

I tried all categories ... a few showed up just fine ... ???! ... I opened up each auction file in a failed category file ... I was trying to see what made some categories different than others ... and yo!!! ... I found a blank file in a failed category ... deleted it ... the category still didn't show ... ugh! ... though a few files later, I found another blank file ... deleted it ... went through all and deleted all the blank files ... and yup!!! ... the auction category showed kinda empty without all those deleted auctions/files, but it still showed ...

I went through every category and when they failed I checked the files ... all categories that failed had empty/blank auction files ... when they were deleted, the auction was back to normal!!!

My assumption is that people were looking at these auctions when the server got all glitched up ... and when it crashed, the files must have saved blank ... so when the program was looking for the bid to display, it couldn't find it because it was erased ... frustrating, yet cool prob ... huh?! --okay, I admit it, I am a bit geeky at times  8)
