Title: Spam from the registration form
Post by ve7yme on 08/05/08 at 17:52:02

Is anyone else getting a large amount of email in the form of undeliverable registration notices?  I have tried to write a function to catch this but I am not that well versed in Perl. Does anyone have an addon that will check that it is a person not a bot that is registering?

I wrote the perl module AccessControl that is doing the job you need.
Go to http://bot-trap.info/ in order to get more informations.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did follow the link and I registered but my account was rejected because my email did not match my domain. Is there another way to get information about your Access Control module?

Sorry - but for some reasons, I only accept verifyable registrations.
Either you are an owner of a domain (in this case you are interested in protection) or you are not an owner of a domain (so you don't need any protection).

Please read:

But AccessControl is not available for free.
In order to get download access, you can contribute to the IP-Blacklist or you can go the easy way of a donation.

I hate it to say ...
but since a lot of Internet users are nothing but suckers, I'm no longer ready to give away my scripts.
