I am receiving an error "Item: . Category: giftcert
is already closed." When adding a new item. Even very 1st item. I have changed close date for new year. Any ideas where to look. Thanks

That's a problem that is based on a bad configured filesystem of some servers.

The files:
.
..
are not the first entries of a directory.

In order to avoid the resulting errors, I changed the code of eAuction.pl a long time ago.

Please download a fresh copy and compare the differences between your version and the new one.

Thanks for your response. I did the best I could in comparing files but could not find solution. I am not a programmer. Know enough to make minor changes but that is it. If you have any more suggestions where I should look I would appreciate. One more clue. After replacing eauction.pl it let me add one item successfully. Then 2nd item caused error. After deleting both test items, 1st item would create error.
