Title: auctions not auto-closing Post by MBG on 02/27/09 at 04:27:37 Problem: Auctions do not close when they time-out. What occurs: the bidders bid, then auction "closes" but 1) it still shows the ability to bid, and 2) the seller doesn't get the information on who the successful bidder is and 3) the successful bidder doesn't get the sellers contact info. We've been running the software for a while. Last season's auctions ran perfect. The only small changes that were made were to update a few words in the help section. Everything appears to be working normally except the auctions are not closing properly. So the eConfig file was changed slightly, the eAuction file was not touched since 2 yrs ago. We deleted old registered users to force people to re-register. I'm wondering if my web host changed something behind the scense that affect the software? I wonder if we removed a file we should not have, a .dat file maybe or maybe a permission was changed on a file? in the cgi-bin folder where the .pl files are, lock.dat has the permissions: rw-r-r (644) is this correct? The eConfig161.pl has the same permissions, and the eAuction.pl files : rwxr-xr-x (755) Any suggestions are appreciated. |
