AccessControl is a Perl module (and a PHP Script).

I wrote it in order to keep away
- Harvesters
- Spam Bots
- Bad Bots
- Attackers
from my websites.

After that, I added something that let me control and deny
- Heavy frequency access (DoS attacks)
- Requests containing malicious code

The program checks for:

- very frequent accesses
- bad IPs
- bad IP ranges
- bad content of requests
- bad user agents
- bad hosts
- bad refferers
- unwanted TLDs

A full featured admin-system (webmaster interface) is included and allows to add:

- IPs and IP ranges to the black lists
- IPs and IP ranges to the white lists

The coded system is usable under perl and php.

AccessControl has been tested (within my domain) for a lot of years now - and it works perfectly.
