Title: Use of uninitialized value in regexp compilation
Post by BaBaBoo on 06/30/07 at 01:10:42

Hello,

I am totally new to this and need a little help. I am running this locally until I get it all set up (I did try it on my host server but it gave me the same message). I have changed nothing but a few of the colors & email address. I am getting this message at the top of the page.

Use of uninitialized value in regexp compilation at C:\site\cgi-bin\eauction161\eauction.pl line 5251.

I am also getting this error message when I try to "Post New Item" or "Change Registration". The Alias.dat file is in the userreg/prereg folder.

Error
Regfile: Alias
could not be opened

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  :)

1. Install a fresh copy of eAuction and don't change anything.
2. Let me know the result

That did the trick.

Thank you very much Mr. Werner.  ;D

P.S. Great script.

I could be wrong but it looks like the alias you are trying to use has not been confirmed, it is in the prereg folder. You need to complete the registration process.
