Title: Re: Server Error Post by csaba on 01/14/07 at 19:02:02 Hello, I am getting the same error... Sneaky - what did you do to fix the problem? I have uploaded the files in ASCII mode and chmod-them. There are no error messages in the error log on the server. But i keep getting this error. I suspect the problem is here somewheare: # The name of your servers cgi-bin directory $config{'cgi_dir'} = 'cgi-bin'; # Default for most servers # The cgi-bin subdirectory where your eAuction.pl will be stored $config{'auction_dir'} = 'eAuction161'; # The Path to a 'NON-WEBACCESSABLE' directory of your system # Maybe you have to chmode it if you use your own setting $config{'get_path'} = 0; # Set this from 1 to 0 if you want to use your own setting $config{'basepath'} = '/auction'; # You need to assign either a mail program or # a mail host so e-mails can be sent out. # Configure your MAIL PROGRAM $config{'get_mail'} = 0; # Set this from 1 to 0 if you want to use your own setting $config{'mailprog'} = '/usr/sbin/sendmail'; # no additional options please # or Configure your MAIL HOST (SMTP) #$config{'mailhost'} = ''; # Set this from 0 to 1 if the script is running with a real Web-Server $config{'web_server'} = 1; but i just cannot find it. May be the base path? Because it doesn't matter what i write there, i get the same error even if i leave it blank. |
Title: Re: Server Error Post by Dieter Werner on 01/15/07 at 11:06:21 The script comes with default settings. Please use them (before you change them). |
Title: Re: Server Error Post by DARKLORD on 01/17/07 at 01:22:49 Did you upload as the owner of the account, or did you upload as root? Uploading as root will require a chown as well. cd to the directory it is installed. This is important or you will break the account, it must be the directory that eAuction was installed in. chown -R owner:owner ./ Replace owner with the account owner. I hope this helps. |
Title: Re: Server Error Post by Dieter Werner on 01/17/07 at 12:06:22 Sorry DARKLORD ... but most people are using a virtual server. Therefore your contribution is confusing most people a little. |
