We all agree that Dieter has created a great auction script.
Dieter has mentioned more than once how busy he is.
I mention the above because many of the questions I am seeing I know have been answered or given great hints or clues to a solution in previous threads. Before posting, and therefore possibly needlessly consuming Dieter's time, I think everyone should do a through search of this entire board and read or study the postings.
I know for a fact there is a posting on how to speed up the emails the program sends out if they seem slow. (on a Unix/Linux server)

Just one humble man's perspective.
