Title: Low Price Items Post by HellasHaggis on 01/21/06 at 16:03:44 Hi Dieter My compliments to you on the script, it is brilliant. Please can you tell me how I might be able to configure the 'Low price items' so as to input a price that is considered low for when the search is activated by clicking on the 'Low Price Item' link? Again my thanksin advance. Sincerely HH |
Title: Re: Low Price Items Post by Dieter Werner on 01/21/06 at 16:17:22 There is nothing to configure ... every item that is having a starting price of $1.00 is a 'Low Price' item; that's hard coded. See sub disp_list Code:

Title: Re: Low Price Items Post by HellasHaggis on 01/21/06 at 16:56:37 Wow, thanks for the 'Super Fast' reply Dieter. I see the line in the script, but my knowledge of Perl is no where near your level. Would it be possible to change the hard code in the line to a higher number/value like 2 or 5? BTW. Your English is excellent, don't let anyone tell you otherwise :) Best wishes HH |

to Code:
or whatever you want. |
Title: Re: Low Price Items Post by HellasHaggis on 01/21/06 at 20:17:38 Thank you Dieter :) I have changed the value to 5, but when I click on 'Low Price Items' link it still does not show up any change or any items in the current items I originally posted in the auction. Will this only start working after new items are added after this change? I have to add that you have created something so good here that even a real web rookie like me could follow your instructions and install the eAuction on a server and get it to work this far. We want to use it for racing fans that want to sell items, but do not need to pay any fees, like on ebay. I am embarrased to let you know where I have installed it in case I did a bad job and you think it is poor :) Kindest regards HH |

Title: Re: Low Price Items Post by HellasHaggis on 01/21/06 at 22:31:25 Dieter, you are a magician!! :) Thank you , that did the trick beautifully. I am confident that you will make a lot of racing fans happy as soon as I can start promoting the board for people to list their items for free and get away from the fee charging mentality of ebay. With your permission, I have added the Everyscript logo/banner from your site and linked to it in the banner rotation of the auction. It can be found at http://www.gpauction.co.uk . I hope it meets to your approval? :) Best wishes HH |
