I am trying to get the eauction161 script to run but have had no luck I have done it three times now to make sure but nothing... :( I have the old aunt of eauction running so i know that this should work too :) and my server should be set up correctly... When i try to access the site I get the your setup is not correct and that is all I can get... No matter what i do nothing.. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it and would efinately give away some beer money...

Any ideas or trials that I could do to trouble shoot or anything... :-[

That means:
Your server doesn't allow the script to create a directory in the 'non web accessible' area.

What's the basepath you use with EA?

same basepath as for everyauction /home/JB-BID/auctiondata/eAuction161

but i haven't created any sub folders in there should i have to....

not really sure Ive went over the script alot so i am pretty familiar with it just can't get it to work....

and then the cgi folder is eAuction161 and is inside cgi-bin folder that the every auction script is in which runs....

So at this point i am clueless but any help would be awesome and thanks for all youve helped already...

As a first step, set:

$config{'get_path'} = 1;

and the script will try to find all needed paths automatically.

I tried that before also and that didnt work either is there a debugging utility or som eerror messages stored somewhere that would tell what kind of problems it is having...
