Title: currency symbol
Post by p00bah on 07/17/05 at 18:17:22

In configuring form_currency, I used extended ascii for the £ symbol which works very nicely except in the e-mails where the ascii is printed.
I tried using the keyboard symbol  £ but it appears as an oe symbol that I can't reproduce.
Interestingly #156 (what I'd usually use) didn't work for the script - it preferring #163 which I would have thought was a ú ... all very interesting
Can you tell me how I should change the lnowrap><b>@{[form_currency($last_bid)]}
and its friends
so that instead of calling form_currency and printing the ascii, it just prints £($last_bid)
I played with it a bit but just managed to upset the whole works.
Any suggestion?
I can make it all work happily using GBP in form_currency but that really looks terrible.
thanx

Search eConfig161.pl for:

  $config{'cur_symbol'}      = '$';      # Your Currency-Symbol

and replace it like this:

  $config{'cur_symbol'}      = '£';      # Your Currency-Symbol

that's the problem, when I do that, the currency symbol becomes an oe symbol

make sure your editor-program saves the file in latin1 mode (not in utf-8 mode).
