Am getting a 404 when attempting setup like this:
http://mydomain.com/cgi-bin/eAuction161/eAuction.pl

I suspect this is because I had really named the cgi-bin subdir to eauction161 in lowercase. I did this because my ftp program doesn't display the permissions correctly with caps in the file or folder names.

If I leave that folder as eAuction161 (with the A as a cap), I get a blank screen - no error messages.

Is there a reason for the caps in the filenames. Should I just search to change them or is their an easier way?

Search eConfig161.pl for eAuction and change it to eauction.
Search eAuction.pl for sub get_path and do the same you did before.
Rename
eConfig161.pl into econfig161.pl
eAuction.pl into eauction.pl

But the best of all would be: Change your FTP client :)

It wasn't really the client FTP I cared about - thought maybe it was a server thing being picked up by the FTP s/w.

Will try troubleshooting futher being adding more to the mix by renaming files.
