Title: testing... testing
Post by roundwood2 on 04/05/04 at 02:58:29

I am absolutely thrilled with this application! :D

I did run into an imaginary snag that I want to pass along.
Not being satisfied with Dieter's test auctions, I wanted to putter about with my own 'test' auctions.... Ha, not so quick.

So I created a few test auctions that I set up to run for about ten minutes each.
The script would let me preview the item, but ...it would never show up in the category listings. ???? Nor in the closed items.
After taking a while to think it over, I thought the issue might be with the duration of the test items, not with any 'bug'.

I then created another test item, but set the duration for more than 1 day. (not just ten minutes like the others that I tried to run...)
All is well, it displayed in all the appropriate views. ;D

That's not a bug - it's a feature  :)
If the start time is larger than the server time, then the item isn't displayed.
As soon as the start time is equal the server time, the item will be displayed - I hope so ...  ;)

Forgot to mention ...
Your layout looks really very good.
I like to see what people do from my simple script.

No, I realize the test feature is not a bug, I was referring to my * imagining* that there might have been a bug... :)

AS for the layout, You are the genius here and deserve 99% of the credit. All I did was to scribble in a few lines here and there.
My thanks again,
Brian
