I seem to have lost the directory that a new item goes to if I want it to start later. I can not for the life of me remember the name for that directory. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

Problem: Auctions do not close when they time-out. What occurs: the bidders bid, then auction "closes" but 1) it still shows the ability to bid, and 2) the seller doesn't get the information on who the successful bidder is and 3) the successful bidder doesn't get the sellers contact info.

We've been running the software for a while. Last season's auctions ran perfect. The only small changes that were made were to update a few words in the help section. Everything appears to be working normally except the auctions are not closing properly. So the eConfig file was changed slightly, the eAuction file was not touched since 2 yrs ago. We deleted old registered users to force people to re-register.

I'm wondering if my web host changed something behind the scense that affect the software? I wonder if we removed a file we should not have, a .dat file maybe

or maybe a permission was changed on a file?

in the cgi-bin folder where the .pl files are, lock.dat has the permissions: rw-r-r (644)
is this correct? The eConfig161.pl has the same permissions, and the eAuction.pl files : rwxr-xr-x (755)

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hello, I have recently downloaded, and successfully installed this wonderful auction script to my server, but I am having email issues with my remote server. I get a server overload error, and I'm sure this is just because I haven't configured the service properly. I am very confused about how the script knows what username and password to use, and even more confused about how to configure the port it uses for smtp. I will include samples of my progress in a seperate post.

Also thank you for creating this script for the public It is awsome, and I would be in trouble without it.

Is anyone else getting a large amount of email in the form of undeliverable registration notices? I have tried to write a function to catch this but I am not that well versed in Perl. Does anyone have an addon that will check that it is a person not a bot that is registering?
Kevin
